Description
The Morning Exercise offers an authentic insight into the training of our riders and their Lipizzaners.
Experience the horses’ daily work in the imperial setting of the baroque Winter Riding School, accompanied by classical Viennese music – from the careful schooling of our often still dark young stallions to the refinement of exercises with our fully trained “white stars.”
You’ll see loosening and gymnasticating exercises, the development of suppleness, and muscle strengthening – all tailored to each horse’s level of training and condition on the day. The famous school jumps are rarely shown during the Morning Exercise to keep a balanced training schedule for our stallions.
Booking:
You will receive your tickets online and according to availability at the cash desk of the Spanish Riding School, Michaelerplatz 1, 1010 Vienna.
The first Morning Exercise after the summer break will take place on
August 4th at 10:00 AM.
Please use the "date range function” to select your preferred date and book tickets in advance.
Starting times:
10:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs
Admission 15 minutes before the starting time
Please note the entrance information on the ticket.

Due to limited wheelchair spaces, we kindly ask wheelchair users to send a request in advance at office@srs.at. Please note that this is no binding reservation – a written confirmation of the Spanish Riding School is required for a binding reservation. We kindly ask you to show this confirmation when picking up your ticket. Thank you for your understanding!
Please note that the Spanish Riding School is located in a listed historic building and does not have an elevator. The royal box, first and second gallery can only be reached via stairs. These areas are therefore not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please take this into account before booking.
Please note:
Unfortunately, we can't store your wardrobe or luggage.
Dogs can not be taken to the Spanish Riding School.
The use of cameras and recording equipment is strictly forbidden

*The short-term parking zone applies throughout the entire city area from Monday to Friday (on weekdays) from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Maximum parking duration in all of Vienna: 2 hours.
Exception: designated business streets, where the maximum parking duration is 1.5 hours (even with a parking permit) and may also apply on Saturdays; the relevant areas are specifically marked.
