Friends of the Lipizzaner Stud Piber

A membership creates symphathy and can help to find new contacts!

Friends of the Lipizzaner Stud Piber

You'll be in good company when you support Austrian cultural heritage and play your part in upholding Piber's high breeding standards!

It is almost inconceivable, but the world-famous Lipizzaner is an endangered domestic species. However, you can actively contribute to preserving Europe's oldest pure-bred horses for future generations.

The Lipizzaner is among the oldest domesticated horse breeds in Europe. The Lipizzaner Stud Piber manages the international Lipizzaner stud book, thus playing an essential role in protecting this valuable, living cultural heritage for Austria and the world, and breeding one of the most noble horse breeds in its original form. All the stallions celebrated around the world through the work of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, thrilling millions of spectators, were born at Piber.

By founding the [Friends of Piber] Club, we have created a platform and a community that calls upon the many Lipizzaner enthusiasts to whom the tradition and high breeding standards of the Lipizzaner Stud Piber are very dear. The Club is charitable and not for profit.

By registering for an annual fee of 50 EUR or a partner membership of 80 EUR, you will be kept up-to-date on all the current events and receive discounts on admission to the stud. Each member will also receive a personal Club card, while a badge is available for 5 EUR ‒ a visible symbol of your affiliation to our stud. All new Club members will also be sent a bottle of Grüner Veltliner “Connversano Dagmar” from the Winzer Kremsa winery as a welcome gift.

The annual Club meeting at Piber Castle is a welcome opportunity for members to enjoy a unique and exclusive day programme and gather in the reception rooms to get all the important news and information straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

We would be delighted to welcome new members to our ranks. A membership would express your attachment to the Lipizzaners and the traditional Lipizzaner Stud Piber in a very unusual way.

Club membership helps us to garner support, inspire kinship and can help us foster important new contacts.

If we have sparked your interest, simply complete the registration form and send it back to us.
