Neapolitano Nima I. – The new book “The White Diamond”
about the oldest registrated Lipizzaner of the world
Neapolitano Nima I was born on April 11, 1979 at 2:40 am and at 40 is the oldest Lipizzan stallion registered within the LIF (Lipizzan International Federation). Compared to humans this is well over 120 years.
To celebrate his 40th birthday, Rudolf Kuzmicki published the book "Neapolitano Nima I - The White Diamond" to honor this Methuselah and outstanding Stallion of the Century.
As a worldwide tribute to this extraordinary Lipizzaner the legendary Neapolitano Nima I, this extraordinary horse, the oldest Lipizzan stallion in the world registered at the LIF (Lipizzan International Fedeation), the book is released in German and English for all horse lovers and riders. For the author, Neapolitano Nima I stands for the Lipizzan genetic code. Robustness, stamina, longevity, intelligence.
Skill and nobility characterize the Lipizzans from Piber, and with Neapoliano Nima I they have the personalized icon of this legacy.
Until the age of 26 he inspired admirers all over the world with his performances out of all especially with his extraordinary, unique levades. He was the unspoken master of the levade and many pictures and films still show his legendary skills.
Since he retired 14 years ago he spends well-earned lovely retirement back in the lovely green meadows of his birthplace at the Lipizzanerstud Piber.
In this book, the uniqueness of his abilities and also of his character is illustrated by means of narratives and eyewitnesses and under what conditions Lipizzaner stallions are raised and trained.
The author Rudolf Kuzmicki: The exceptional horse Neapolitano Nima I embodies the ideal of our Lipizzaner breed. Durable, hard, persistent, willing to perform, strong in character and expressive in the performance of his arts under the rider in the Spanish Riding School.
A big chapter belongs to the person who trained and shaped this diamond: Andreas Harrer, who unfortunately died too early at the age of 44 in the year 2000. This book is also dedicated to the memory of him.
Rider Rudolf Rostek, who has ridden Nima for 12 years, describes authentically with episodes and stories how difficult, stubborn and brilliant Nima was and is.
