Senior Stable Master Johannes Hamminger


Johannes Hamminger joined the School on March 1st, 1976 and completed the entire training programme up to the rank of a rider. In 1989 he became Stable Master and was entrusted with responsibility for all the School stallions stabled in the Stallburg in Vienna and the Training Centre in Heldenberg, Lower Austria. “I care deeply for the interaction between horse and groom. The horses’ health and well-being, whether in Vienna or on tour is always my absolute priority.” Hannes Hamminger’s life is dedicated to horses, he also spends his free time in the family-owned stable and breeding yard, which has produced a number of Austrian champions. And should he have some spare time he and his wife jog and swim to keep in shape.
